As a mama I strive to bring up well rounded little ladies. Especially gracious ones. That is why we are so excited to share Thankful Frankie by Katheen Cruger, Illustrated by Al Johnson & Emily Serruto. A sweet book that highlights and helps children understand an important life lesson! Being Thankful.
Recently we had a couple birthday parties in the family and my girls had a wonderful time with all their friends. But…after these parties we got asked some very eye opening questions.
Mom, why haven’t you given us any presents?
When is Auntie gonna send me a present?
How big will my present be?
Not that these are bad questions. For a kid these are honest and important questions. After hearing these, I knew it was time to talk about the reality that material things are just that, MATERIAL. It was time that my girls new there is so much more to life than STUFF.
Thnkful Frankie opened up the lines of communication in a way that kids understand.
This darling book is not only colorful and fun, it has the cutest illustrations. It follows the main character in heir quest of realization that there’s so much more to life than toys. This book is such an easy and engaging read for kids that my 5 year old reads it regularly.
My 9 year old twins have also enjoyed it, it has sparked some awesome conversations at our dinner table.
I would recommend this book 100x over for any family with Littles.
Actually any age for that matter. I thouroughly enjoyed reading it to the girls, this has become one of our regular nighttime reads.
I would like to thank Kathleen Cruger for gifting this sweet book to 3 Lil Ladies n Me for review. We are so grateful for this opportunity to share with our friends a book that helps parents raise well rounded individuals.
