Love Letter Napkin Folding
Y’all… I am such a sucker for celebrating holidays and adding those sweet but tiny touches. You know special sweets, balloons, decor etc. My table-scapes have certainly become no exception. Lets up our dinner time game by adding Love Letter Napkin Folding to our repertoire.
Now don’t get me wrong we don’t always use cloth napkins. For the simple reason that, 1. I don’t want to do that much laundry and 2. my kids are soooooo messy. But for special occasions, especially holidays (insert teaching moment) It’s important that my little ladies know how to act and how to use a cloth napkin at a “fancy” dinner table.
Cloth Napkin folding has become such a sweet and special surprise that my girls have somewhat become accustomed to it. Yes, I’m creating little fancy monsters. There could be worse things though. The good news…are you ready? Cloth napkins don’t have to cost an arm and a leg. This has been the biggest misconception among Hello Luvs readers. Y’all, I am frugal Francine!!! I despise spending more money than I have to, I find all my napkins from Home Goods, Marshalls, TJ Maxx and World Market.
Now that you know where to find these little squares of happiness, lets get to the good stuff!!
(BTW, if your using linen/cotton napkins…they will have slight wrinkles. ugh)
Start with a square napkin.
Fold top half of napkin down to bottom. If there is any kind of lace or fringe you will want it at the bottom of the “envelope”
Fold the Right half down making a 90 degree angle.
Next fold the left half down again. Meeting the right.
Fold the Right corner in, only half way.
Do the same with the left until you have your envelope.
Last, add your letter of sweet sentiment for that special person!
(optional: any kind of embellishment that fits the occasion)
