Everyday Table Setting…whaaattt?
Setting a table these days seems like a foreign concept anymore, often times families eat on the couch or at the kitchen bar. We are definitely guilty of all. I will say that the small change of setting a table has brought some big (and welcome) differences. Who knew that setting a table would bring a family together, while promoting the sweetest dinnertime conversation. I now know how my girls week is going, who they ate lunch with, and who has the same backpack!
I’m also a big advocate of vintage things, like cursive and now table settings. HAHA, I’m only kidding.
I want to prepare my girls for life… Who knows if they will be hosting dinner parties or attending galas. I want them to be prepared to know what fork to use or where to place their napkin in a formal setting. No pretty woman snail flings for my girls. So, if your like me and want to teach all the vintage things of life (handwritten letters are another post altogether.) Or just curious for the sake of your own table, take a look below.
Here’s an easy diagram to follow if you decide to make the change like we did.
Just look at that sweet girl, she definitely has fun with this. Just wait until you start adding fun napkin folds!
If you want to get really crazy… try these dinner conversations cards. They have made dinnertime into somewhat of a circus, a fun one though. Conversation cards
I cant wait to hear how this helps your dinnertime routine!
